Description:

Job title: Arson Reduction Coordinator
Grade: D
Salary: £27,803 per annum (rising by annual increments to £30,296) (pay award pending) More information on salaries and progression can be found on our pay and policies page.
Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week
Location: The service encourages flexible working and is open to flexible working options. The role will have the flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices, agreement of your base location will be discussed with the successful candidate.
The successful post holder will be required to travel extensively across Dorset and Wiltshire visiting children, young people, their families and professionals.

WHAT MAKES YOU OUR IDEAL PERSON?

  • 4 GCSE passes - Grade A*-C / Level 9-4, including English and Mathematics or equivalent Level 2 qualification.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification, or able to demonstrate significant level of graduate calibre experience within a similar role.
  • Experience of working with children and young people.
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of providing advice and guidance on reducing risky behaviours.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, for effective engagement and understanding with a wide range of audiences.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Fire Safety Intervention Scheme.
  • Working within our education team to deliver education to reduce the risk of fire play / fire setting.
  • Working with partners and stakeholders to reduce wildfires and deliberate fires
