THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a passionate procurement professional with a focus on strategic sourcing excellence to provide procurement leadership for Workplace Services Category across EY’s business in ASEAN region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Lao, etc., where there are Extended Procurement Team members, with whom we need to co-work and build strategic relationship for driving regional strategy success.
The focus for the role will be to deliver procurement services in the Workplace Services category across service categories such as food services, concierge and reception, utilities, property and security maintenance services, cleaning services, parking, mailroom services, storage and archiving, office supplies and equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
Experience creating, maintaining, and leading the delivery of a procurement category plan and underlying pipeline of projects while ensuring accurate and up-to-date reporting (global and regional) is maintained. Total annual spend in ASEAN is circa $2.2m (USD).
To ensure success the candidate must proactively work with global colleagues and category specific Center of Excellence (CoE) to maximize quantitative and qualitative value to EY.
ASEAN is the geographic remit with particular focus on the top 3 larger Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines marketplaces. Ability to navigate and influence demanding stakeholder requirements and address sensitive topics effectively.
Support the Global WPS Procurement Lead. by delivering challenging commercial targets and the ability to balance competing expectations.
Strong aptitude and interest in investigating, identifying and capturing quantitative value opportunities (cost savings and cost avoidance), and executing contracts providing best-in class service value, confident and balanced stakeholder relationships and continuous improvement to EY.
The candidate must have the ability to work with both autonomy and collaboration, while supporting and advocating EY Procurement’s ASEAN and EY’s global goals. Curiosity to explore cross regional and global synergies and to collaborate with procurement team members across geographies is essential.
Familiarity of working with on-line, e-sourcing tools. Strong presentation development and delivery skills. Innate planning capabilities. Capacity to tailor verbal and written communications for varying audiences. Ability to thrive within intensive working environments.

WHAT EDUCATION WE LOOK FOR:

  • Business degree or equivalent

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in business English, Chinese language will be a plus;
  • Flexible to travel on occasion for stakeholder, supplier, and Procurement team meetings; and
  • Experience working in a global organization is preferred
  • Amenability to do hybrid work set up (More than 2 days per week) in Mckinley West Taguig

Responsibilities:

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop category plans that align key stakeholder objectives with a strategic approach to maximize quantitative value (cost savings and cost avoidance), complement transactions with brand value (those value items not quantitatively measured), reduce risk, and effectively manage the supply of products and/or services;
  • Build and manage a pipeline of Procurement projects in close collaboration with stakeholders;
  • Execute end-to-end strategic sourcing activities in accordance with the Procurement policy and provide excellence throughout the process analyzing information, setting sourcing strategies, identifying requirements and opportunity, negotiating terms and conditions, and contracting products and/or services;
  • Increase spend under management;
  • Drive results and set a high bar for yourself and others whilst providing accurate reporting on quantitative and qualitative results achieved;
  • Work closely with stakeholders and business leaders to continuously identify opportunities for the organization within the category;
  • Have review meetings with key suppliers throughout contract life to maximize the value of current interactions and to uncover and implement new opportunities;
  • Actively gather expertise and participate in relevant industry discussions to identify and apply best practices and innovative solutions;
  • Understand if the market provides opportunities for “start-ups” to complement functional processes;
  • A ‘digital first’ mindset, creative in using IT solutions to drive efficiency and informational advantage wherever possible;
  • Collaborate with other Procurement teams across APAC to identify (cross-category) opportunities;
  • Collaborate with Procurement Center of Excellences on projects and strategies where there is opportunity;
  • Proactively develop partnerships with key enablement functions such as Legal, Finance, and Risk Management;
  • Identify and implement opportunities to drive end-to-end process improvements with key stakeholders aimed at making it easier for stakeholders to get consistent, dependable, high-quality outcomes;
  • Be an advocate of the Procurement policy and relevant processes to facilitate more efficient and effective methods of getting value for money;
  • Drive an inclusive and sustainable sourcing mindset to build a better working world; and
  • Provide structured reporting on progress of the function, issues, and opportunities.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Procurement in a collaborative, high-performance environment
  • Experience in Workplace Service Category of expenditure preferred but not essential, your ability to learn and develop your subject matter expertise within these categories can be provided by COE’s, colleagues and on the job experience given you can demonstrate an ability to learn, adapt and be flexible with solid understanding of procurement fundamentals
  • Strong Procurement expertise and proven track record of setting strategies, leading complex Procurement projects, driving negotiations, and implementing SRM initiatives;
  • Strong business acumen in order to drive results and ability to link business needs to sourcing strategies;
  • Effective decision-making skills that increase the speed and efficiency of processes;
  • High levels of EQ and cultural awareness to build relationships, align efforts, and effectively influence;
  • Assertive in sharing ideas, clear and concise, and seek to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholder audiences;
  • Tenacious problem-solver with a focus on building mutually beneficial relationships;
  • Strong analytical skills converting data into decision-quality information and using it strategically to drive successful outcomes;
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills to have high levels of engagement with stakeholders;
