Description:
The Administrative Assistant (Business Development) is based within the Careers Services Employer Engagement Team, and specifically within the Business Development Team. This is a full-time, fixed term contract for 12 months.
The role provides administrative support for student employability and development activities within the Careers Service, acting as the first point of contact for external employers and recruiters referring calls and e-mails where appropriate and informing callers of employer services available.
Being a part of the Business Development Team the Administrative Assistant would therefore assist the team with responding to enquiries, forwarding information, arranging prospective recruiter meetings and visits. Additionally, providing support across the wider Employer Engagement team for the delivery of events and employability/internship programmes where necessary through researching and sourcing organisations to engage with careers events and fairs.
Full training will be provided for the successful candidate, but applicants should ideally have an interest in the graduate recruitment market and the work economy (eg, labour market information). The role is being offered on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months from the date of appointment, the role being funded through an external source.
The role is hybrid, with at least two days spent working on campus, ideally one of the days being a Tuesday to align with other members of the wider Employer Engagement Team. However full flexibility is required to support careers meetings, events and other on-campus activities when needed.
