Description:
KEY INTERACTIONS
The Asia Communications and Event Manager role will include:
- management responsibility for the communications team (a team of advisors covering communications and events)
- working alongside the global internal and external communications teams; and
- being trusted advisor to various stakeholders, including partners, directors, marketing, business development and client teams, and other supporting functions.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION
- Degree educated
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
- 8 or more years of internal marketing and communications experience within a major professional services organization, a major corporate or at agency level
- Managing and leading marketing teams
- Experience working with PR agencies
- Translation of complex material into commercial market/client facing content
- Experience and understanding of corporate social media
- Experience with crisis management
OFFICE SKILLS
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Client relationship management software
COMMERCIAL SKILLS
- A demonstrable interest in legal and commercial issues that relate to the firm’s market offering
- Legal PR experience
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE
The Asia Communications and Event Manager will lead internal communications and manage the firm’s external reputation by working alongside the firm’s PR agency.
The role will primarily cover the seven offices across Asia, but will also play a key role in positioning the firm globally.
The Asia Communications and Event Manager is a key figure within the Strategic Marketing team, playing a significant role in ensuring the team meets its functional goals of:
- contributing high-quality communications advice and support;
- owning and using core communications channels effectively;
- being connected with all stakeholder groups;
- being a centre of excellence and a source of guidance and support for colleagues engaged in communication activities throughout the business; and
- supporting the firm in relation to crisis management.
