POSITION
The Department of Asian American Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool.
We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach
- Intro to Ethnic Studies
We are also interested in applicants who may be interested in these subject areas.
- Intro to Asian Pacific American Studies
- Asian American and Pacific Islander History
- Asian Pacific American cultural/media studies
- Asian Pacific American community studies
- Asian American Women
- APIDA Families
- Multiple Heritage Studies
- Vietnamese American Studies
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- ABD Doctoral Candidate or M.A. with substantial graduate course work in relevant field is required
- Evidence of prior teaching, mentoring, or tutoring experience
- Evidence of experience in relevant academic field or relevant professional/community-based experience.
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
