Responsibilities:

  • Works with Supervisor and Lead Hand to ensure that daily productivity targets are met in a timely and safe manner.
  • Demonstrate positive and safe workplace behavior at all times and work as a team in the achievement of daily production targets.
  • Completes a variety of tasks within a department (may be Door line and or Press Shop)
  • Assist in assembling inner and outer parts of the door, using honeycomb and glue and stack for the welding task.
  • Acquire some knowledge to operate brake press and/ Or punching inner/ outer/ tack welding in accordance with established safe procedures.
  • Develop basic understanding to Fit and assemble components according to assembly blueprints, production specifications, engineering drawings or sketches.
  • Verifies conformance of parts to stock lists and blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, Go/No Go gauges and micrometers.
  • Comply with company’s EHS guidelines and ensure all required PPE are used while working on the shop floor.
  • Focuses on learning tasks including tack welding and ensuring quality at all times.
  • Perform repetitive tasks and handle material up to 5-20 Lbs. for an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Contributes to the overall functioning of the team by maintaining awareness of best practices/emerging issues, both internally and externally, sharing best practices and building effective working relationships across the team and company.
  • Strong desire to train in any/all departments.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.
