Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 3:45 pm and Fridays 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. (38hrs per week)
Location: Keysborough, VIC 3173
Hourly Rate: $39.47 (casual/temporary) $31.58 (perm)
Contract: Temporary contract initially, with the view to be taken on permanently within 6 months.
Our client is looking for an experienced Assembly Technician to join their expanding team! The role will be constructing rail components and demands adept hand skills and precise eye-hand coordination for the assembly and adjustment of intricate mechanical components. Proficiency in soldering is a necessity for this position.
The Assembly Technician is responsible for the electrical and mechanical assembly of equipment, encompassing basic through-hole soldering, utilization of hand and power tools, and customization of enclosures, wire harnesses, and sub-assemblies.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, work orders, and assembly instructions.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
- Execute assemblies to meet high-quality standards following approved manufacturing protocols.
- Complete all relevent complience documentation.
- Organize the workspace for optimal efficiency/productivity and maintain tools.
- Uphold safety standards and regulations in the work environment.
- Fulfill additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
- Collaborate with assembly personnel in a cohesive team approach.
What you need:
- Experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Proficiency in hand and power tools for product assembly.
- Competence in hand soldering.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to interpret part drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.
- Capacity to work accurately and efficiently.
- Aptitude for repetitive tasks while maintaining focus.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
