Reporting to the Production Manager, the General Assembler’s primary mandate is to assemble cables, products and/or assemblies according to verbal and/or written instructions.

Job Duties

  • Operates hand tools, power tools or production equipment
  • Calibrates mechanical and electronic assemblies where required
  • Performs testing of product where required to certify quality and adherence to specifications and notifies the appropriate party of any problems
  • Inspects finished or in-process fabricated or mechanical parts, equipment, and assemblies and notifies the appropriate party of any problems.
  • Cleans and packs finished product
  • Installs software and programs equipment where required
  • Maintains a neat area and adheres to all health and safety requirements
  • On a daily basis, checks and cleans all areas of the production floor
  • Completes other duties and projects as assigned by management

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in assembly, working in a fast paced environment
  • High school (+) diploma
  • Customer service oriented and able to handle multiple priorities in a professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks such as lifting, walking, standing
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Superior punctuality and dependability
  • Can work independently, as well as part of a team
