Description:
We have an exciting fixed term opportunity until July 2025 within Complaints & Statutory Referrals.
The Assessment Officer is responsible for case managing matters received by Complaints and Statutory Referrals team, with core functions including the assessment and evaluation of building and/or plumbing complaints; building surveyor termination requests, and referrals and notifications from building surveyors.
The role will undertake effective case management and assessments in accordance with relevant legislation and VBA guidelines, as well as initiating appropriate courses of action, including achievement of compliance, education or warnings, triage for investigation, referrals to other agencies.
The role also focusses on liaising with a range of stakeholders, delivering the VBA’s customer service imperatives and maintaining relevant case management systems.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Demonstrated experience in complaint case management functions in a complex environment
- Experience working within a legislative or regulatory environment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, manage stakeholder relationships and implement solutions.
- Ability to organise a self managed workload with a high attention to detail.
