Description:

IRISNDT Corp. has an immediate, full-time position available for an Asset Integrity RBI Engineer within our Engineering department. We are looking for an experienced Asset Integrity Engineer with a background in corrosion engineering and inspection and has set up, facilitated, and updated RBIs using industry RBI software.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have the following certifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or relevant discipline) or equivalent experience;
  • At least 5 years of experience in asset integrity, risk-based inspection, or a related field, will be an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of RBI principles and methodologies;
  • Proficiency in using RBI software and data analysis tools, will be an asset;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Some travel, including overnight stays out of town, may be required.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Health benefits that meet or exceed industry standards will be provided after a 3-month probationary period. Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing risk-based inspection (RBI) programs to ensure the integrity and reliability of assets;
  • Analyzing and interpreting inspection and maintenance data to identify trends and potential risk factors;
  • Identify potential damage mechanisms and corrosion rates (both theoretical potentials and from inspection findings)
  • Developing and maintaining RBI documentation and records, including inspection reports, inspection test plans, and maintenance recommendations;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and technical services, to implement RBI programs and set inspection intervals;
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies related to RBI.
