Assistant Accountant - Accounts Payable (one year contract)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Mazars in South Africa is looking for a dynamic individual to join their Accounting Outsourced Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accounts payable processing and vendor reconciliations for multi-national client base.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Accounting diploma or equivalent from a reputable institution
• Advanced experience in SAP FI module specifically Vendor Accounting and ReadSoft
• Adhering to principles and values

• Applying professional/specialist/technical expertise
• Teamwork
• Presenting and communicating information
• Information gathering and problem analysis

• At least 5 years experience in the same role
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong reconciliation abilities

• Prepare and process vendor invoices in SAP;
• Process and reconcile monthly vendor accounts payable;
• Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly accounts payable reports;
• Resolve queries from vendors and client;
• Manage individual productivity and budgets (include completion of timesheets);
• Foster, build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients;
