YOUR NEXT EXCITING JOB OPPORTUNITY –
Reporting to the Financial Controller the Assistant Accountant is responsible for assisting in the preparation the Financial and Management Reports with a larger focus on the day-to-day transactions and ensuring the information is accurate and compliant with the relevant accounting and taxation standards. We are in a building phase with our Finance function, we have created a dynamic and collaborative environment and are now looking for someone to continue designing innovative ways of working and help shape our team.
RELEVANT EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or near completion
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a finance role
- Good foundational experience in Accounts Payable.
- Basic/intermediate excel skills
- Strong Communication skills and highly organized
- Ability to deal with problematic clients
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Demonstrated ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Full rights to work in Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Financial Controller and Financial Accountant in their tasks and deliverables related to month end processing, reporting, reconciliations, taxation and compliance.
- Reconcile the bank account by receipting customer’s payments and ensuring supplier payments are processed.
- Assist the Financial Accountant and Accounts Payable Lead by ensuring all invoices are correctly approved, allocated and entered.
- Assist the Financial Controller in ensuring the company has sufficient working capital by chasing overdue payments and reviewing client accounts against credit limits.
