    Carlins Automotive Auctioneers is seeking a professional and efficient Assistant Accountant to provide performance insights, streamline processes and manage day-to-day accounting and admin requirements for multiple locations.

Reporting to the National Financial Controller (FC), the key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Providing financial and non-financial insights to senior management for critical decision-making
  • Providing day-to-day guidance and leadership to the admin team in problem resolution and process understanding
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Managing and forecasting cashflows
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies
  • Supporting the FC with management, statutory and regulatory reporting to tight timelines
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to become a subject matter expert on transactional financial data
  • Liaising with external auditors and managing relevant compliance matters.
