Responsibilities:

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. EKFB are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Milton Keynes!
As an Assistant Accountant you will be supporting the Senior Finance manager. You will be a key part of the preparation for the monthly financial reports for the business. This will include cost journal processing, data collection, consolidation and analysing Bank Ledger Reconciliations. You will also be involved with supporting VAT and CIS returns and will be required to carry out Ad Hoc reports.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills to support the Senior Finance Manager covering the above topics. You will need to be confident in data analysis and comfortable with managing high volumes to work in line with deadlines.
You will be required to monitor cost and time bookings alongside liaising with the Project Controls Department with the forecasting of people costs. You will need to monitor and prepare the balance sheet control account reconciliations and ensure all documentation is securely stored and managed for the department.
Another key part of this role will be to manage and request new users to our Cost System that manages new user setups and security. You will also be required to support the preparation of partner recharges.
