Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will be accountable for the effective and efficient processing of accounting data including credit and debt management, bank reconciliations, payroll, monthly account reconciliations and assisting with the analysis of variances in P&L accounts and budgets and forecasts.

As part of your role, you will:

  • Assisting the preparation of the balance sheet and P&L every month
  • Help in the annual audit, taxation and statutory reporting obligations including GST, BAS, FBT etc
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of bank, credit card and selected entity general ledger accounts
  • Update and maintain aspects of the Fixed Asset register and banking records
  • Fortnightly payroll processing and ensuring that the payroll records of the organisation are accurately maintained
  • Assisting employees and HR with payroll-related queries
  • All aspects of entering, processing and checking including on-call allowance, timesheets and salary sacrifice
  • Ensuring payment of creditors is made by agreed credit terms
  • Processing and reconciling high-volume corporate credit card transactions accurately and checking daily the credit card/bank transfer transactions
  • Managing accrued expenses and prepayments
  • Preparing a variety of invoices & payments promptly
  • Other ad-hoc and general finance-related tasks as required by the business
