JOB DESCIPTION

Novus Print : Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint a suitable Assistant Accountant with a high regard for detail. The succesful candidate will work closely with the finance team and report directly to the Cost Accountant.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 with mathematics and Accounting or a finance related qualification

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 2 years generalist experience in a financial environment
• Experience in financial packages (ERP) like Accpac, Monarch and Acumatica will be an added advantage
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel Formulas)
• Experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment will be advantageous

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong interest in administration and numerical ability
• Advanced reporting and Microsoft Excel Skills
• Ability to work under pressure and deadline driven
• Able to work independently as a well as part of a team
• Self- Motivated, energetic and can demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

• Perform monthly customer invoicing and credit notes
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Liaising with Accounts Executives (Sales Department) on quotations and work tickets
• Maintain accounting and administrative systems and procedures , utilising appropriate resources and software applications
• Assist with yearly sales budget and monthly sales forecast
