Description:

For one of our clients, a large CBD based company, we are looking for an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. Working 5 days in the office.
The Role: Our client is a reputable organisation looking for an Assistant Accountant in a supportive work environment where you can make an impact

Role Overview: As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance team, with responsibilities including:

  • Full general ledger responsibility, including posting, reconciling, reviewing, and reporting on general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Reviewing weekly cash flow reports, controlling expenditure and cash flow, and reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer on all banking and treasury matters.
  • Preparing monthly operational reports and assisting with month-end tasks.
  • Maintaining bank accounts, including overseeing set up and management.
  • Preparing monthly BAS and annual FBT returns.
  • Examining financial records to ensure accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven Assistant Accounting experience.
  • Starting or in the process of obtaining a CPA qualification.
  • Experience with Oracle would be a plus
  • Experience working in an automated environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
