DESIGNATION : Assistant Accountant

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a meticulous Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager to run financial processes in an effective and timely manner, covering all aspects of financial & management accounting, budgeting and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/Business or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Good knowledge and a passion for accounting.
  • Hands-on, meticulous and takes initiative.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion system will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of monthly management reports, analyse variances between monthly budget and actual results
  • Perform accounting and administrative tasks related to processing of the accounts receivables, accounts payables, internal billings, journal entries
  • Receipting of government grants and all monies received
  • Expenses & claim administration
  • Monitor cash imprest, cash disbursements, cash advances and credit card transactions
  • Administration and disbursement of donations-in-kind, including gift voucher
  • Prepare of annual operating budgets
  • Prepare financial and statistical reports for all government subventions
  • Assist with liaising with auditors of statutory and special audits
  • Ensure adherence with good governance, organisational policies, charities accounting principles, GST and statutory legislations
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve existing processes and internal control systems to ensure compliance
  • Perform any other duties as and when required.
