SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in an engineering discipline with Engineering Chartership or equivalent experience.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience in inspections, preventative action, and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Understanding of Cadent’s operations and safety regulations.
  • Post-degree experience in an operational or contractor environment is desirable.
    This role may require participation in an operational standby rota and is based at our London depot, as applicable.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Specialist to join our team. This vital role ensures the effective planning and execution of all team activities, optimising resources and ensuring timely delivery to both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver and take ownership of specialist services within agreed processes and expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and authorise engineering work to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Actively promote a positive safety culture and customer-oriented approach.
  • Investigate, analyse, and resolve complex issues with practical plans.
  • Contribute to strategy using detailed analysis and expertise.
  • Support the delivery of brilliant customer service with a sense of purpose.
  • Ensure compliance with various safety and quality regulations.
  • Manage procedures for engineering changes and monitor engineering standards.
  • Provide engineering expertise and advice as required.
