An exciting opportunity now exists for an ambitious Assistant Bar & Brasserie Manager at Hodson Bay Hotel.

As the Assistant Bar & Brasserie Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of the day-to-day operations of the Hotel whilst ensuring our guests have a positive experience. You will lead and motivate the Food & Beverage Team to deliver outstanding levels of service.
We work together as a team to ensure that we exceed guest expectations every time. We do this by ensuring the highest standards of products are on offer and by achieving excellent service standards at all times. Exceeding guest expectations is part of our service culture and as part of the Management team you will have a strong customer focus; you will meet and greet guests, respond to queries and oversee the smooth running of the Bar & Brasserie.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Minimum of 1 year experience at Assistant Manager level in a similar environment
  • Possess Strong Leadership qualities
  • Excellent communication, organisation & people management skills
  • Ability to train new & existing staff
  • Have an excellent knowledge of Food and Beverage & a strong eye for detail
  • Possess the ability to perform under pressure & be proficient in spoken & written English
  • Availability to work 5 over 7 days for both opening and closing shifts, preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the management of the day to day running of the Bar & Brasserie
  • Lead a team of Food & Beverage Assistants & Supervisors
  • To assist and carry out training as required and to document the same
  • Continue to maintain and build a loyal and regular customer base
  • Take every opportunity to maximize revenue
  • Meeting & greeting guests
  • Exceeding Customer service expectations at all levels
  • To be responsible for the day to day queries, complaints and issues that arise in the Bar
  • Maintaining high standards of detail at every level
  • HACCP Controls
  • To ensure cash/vouchers and all forms of payment are handled in a secure and responsible manner
  • Assist in the management of Rosters
  • Assist the manager with performance management - reviews, appraisals etc
  • Assist the manager with recruitment and selection
