ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Atlantic Edge Credit Union is looking for a full-time Assistant Branch Manager based in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.
This role, reporting to the Branch Manager, is pivotal in supporting the management and coordination of the credit union’s operations and business development, ensuring the branch’s growth, profitability, and member satisfaction.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with managing and coordinating both deposit and loan portfolios
- Engaging in deposit and lending functions, including consumer and commercial credit, and residential and commercial mortgages
- Collaborating on the development and implementation of annual business strategies
- Supervising market area analysis and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities
- Providing support in loan application evaluation and credit risk appraisal
- Assisting with delinquency control and branch collections activities
- Ensuring branch compliance with audit, security standards, and loss prevention measures
- Supporting staff management including leadership, recruitment, training, and performance reviews
- Overseeing and managing the Financial Services Representatives I and II and Financial Services Officers
- Assuming the Branch Manager’s responsibilities in their absence
