Description:

HEALTH & SAFETY

Ensure the workshop and all working, service bay areas and vehicles are kept clean, clutter free and tidy at all times. Ensure all employees wear correct personal protective safety equipment (PPE) when operating machinery and using manual working tools.
Understand and be familiar with Bridgestone Health & Safety Manuals in order to understand Company requirements and recognize what hazards are applicable to the role and working area.
Inform Store Manager of any potential hazards and any machinery or tools requiring servicing or repair.
Exercise continuous workplace safety awareness and obligations to work in a safe manner by learning to identify, eliminate, isolate or minimize potential workplace hazards that may cause injury either to employees or to any customers.
Assist in the co-ordination of Health and Safety and compliance programmes
Report and document any site incident, accident or near miss events to reduce the risk of then recurring.
Full clean driving licenc

Responsibilities:

Monitor and contribute to technical work performed on site. The Assistant Manager should be available to assist and provide technical advice in the workshop as and when required.
Assist staff to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and staff.
Have completed Company training modules and be capable of delivering correct customer service standards and telephone techniques.
Assist with staff development and learning of technical knowledge and experience for the execution of the sales and service process.
Ensure all staff operate in an effective and efficient manner to maintain acceptable profit margins on products and services.
Undertake regular stock checks and assist in the control of new and used stock.
Ensure all staff complete work following safe practices and procedures so as to ensure the safety all employees, customers and site visitors.
Ensure all Company equipment, work areas and vehicles are safe, operational, well-presented and maintained to a clean and tidy standard.
Ensure personal presentation and grooming of all staff is maintained in accordance with the Bridgestone New Zealand Ltd retail standards as set by the Company from time to time.
Resolve issues arising from customer inquiries.
Monitor and assist employees to complete training modules.
Acquire on an ongoing basis, the knowledge to provide customers and staff with appropriate and current technical and product advice.
Assume responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Immediately report any breaches of policy, procedure or good practice to the Store Manager.
Any other administrative or technical duties as specified by the Store Manager from time to time.
