What do the team do?
As Assistant Brand Campaign Manager you will be joining pladis’ Shopper team which sits within the wider Marketing function. The task of the Shopper Campaigns team is to brilliantly communicate our brands for shoppers and customers across the full pladis portfolio - To help drive distribution, shopper conversion and customer engagement at all stages of the path to purchase.
Working closely with the Brand teams and wider Marketing department you will deliver insight led shopper marketing campaigns and initiatives that build and grow pladis’ extensive range of brands and strengthen relationships and growth within Grocery and Impulse. You will support the wider campaigns team in managing and developing a consolidated campaign plan across Sweet and Savoury and co-ordinating across our marketing team to handle multiple parallel campaign initiatives. Working closely with marketing managers, shopper marketing managers and the customer team to implement efficiently.
We are looking for someone to drive our brands forward, developing and executing shopper campaigns from the marketing plan. You’ll need to have a creative flair, and be hyper-organised, hungry to make your mark, and ready to collaborate with various internal teams and stakeholders, partners and agencies on a daily basis. The work is often incredibly fast-paced and therefore an ability to stay calm under pressure is a must.
The successful candidate will join the marketing team based in Chiswick park and will report into the Shopper - Senior Brand Campaign Manager.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • SHOPPER MARKETING EXECUTION: Develop impactful, insightful shopper and trade marketing campaigns and customer agendas in conjunction with agencies, account and display & operations teams, communicating key timescales and inputs, whilst effectively securing dedication to execution within agreed timelines
  • AGENCY MANAGEMENT: Build a positive relationship with our shopper agency partners. Effectively manage the day-to-day relationships with our main agencies and partners, to work on a collaborative and effective way of working.
  • INSIGHTS, ANALYSIS & REPORTING: Effectively interpret available industry, category, customer and shopper data, (i.e. target occasions, missions, customers, channels and shopper segments) turning it into a clear set of prioritised opportunities for pladis. Use the analytics to drive differentiated activation that is uniquely suited to the retailer and the shopper it serves.
  • BUDGETS:. Manage the Shopper Budgets effectively by keeping track of monthly costs, raising Purchase Orders and ensuring media booked on time to avoid penalties. Working closely with the Shopper Marketing Managers to ensure our full budget is correctly documented and tracked.
  • TIMINGS: Develop timing plans for relevant campaigns – including identifying all the key milestones required including the strategic response the brief, artwork deadlines and the various stakeholder approval stages.

  • EVALUATIONS - Measure and evaluate shopper-related activity against clear metrics in order to drive continuous improvement on return on investment. Working on post campaign analyses and always aiming for greater success for the business by taking actionable learnings.

Essential

  • Passionate about brands and bringing them to life in stores across the UK
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Strategic mentality with the ability to identify future opportunities and work with broader teams to translate into business growth plans
  • Experienced in managing multiple stakeholders and multiple projects at any one time, organisational and project management experience is essential.

Desirable

  • Proven experience of leading and developing campaign plans and managing the execution of Shopper marketing specific experience isn’t critical although marketing experience is preferred.
  • Creative and media agency management experience and know how to inspire the best possible performance from them.
  • Commercial experience and/or brand experience gained in a blue-chip organisation, Consultancy or Agency.
  • Competent in Excel
