We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Buyer to join our team, reporting to the Senior Buyer, based in our Pyrmont Support Centre. In this role you will have the opportunity to bring with you your knowledge in Buying and put these skills into practice, as well as have the opportunity to support with creating our ranges and shaping our categories for stores.

Your new role at Sheridan…

  • Development and maintenance of key templates
  • Provide support in day to day running of buying function
  • Deliver category plans by providing assistance to Senior Merchandise Manager
  • Own the development and updating of product/option/range plans
  • Ownership of agreed category including seasonal buy with guidance from Senior Merchandise Manager once established in role

What experience you can bring to us?

  • Experience as an Assistant Buyer or Buyers Admin Assistant, ready for the next step with local knowledge of homewares, soft furnishings, or the fashion industry
  • Passion for product and buying
  • Experience with product management systems
  • Competency in excel is a must – VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables are used heavily
  • High attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
  • Confident in communicating and interacting with multiple stakeholders
