Description:
The Heritage Conservation Centre (HCC), an institution under the National Heritage Board, plays a leading role in heritage conservation in Singapore. It is also the repository and conservation facility for the management and preservation of Singapore’s National Collection (NC).
In this role, you will lead and manage a team of registrars, collections managers and officers in implementing the best possible standards of heritage care and collections management practices.

What you will be working on
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience in areas related to museum studies, arts with history, anthropology, sociology, information sciences and business/ legal studies
- 5 years experience in leading a team
- Possess strong leadership and takes initiative
- Patient, meticulous, neat, organised and has excellent writing, negotiation and communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as with teams
- Keen interest in the arts, heritage and museum field
Responsibilities:
- Manage work allocation, schedules and resource deployment of the department so as to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Guide and motivate the team towards fulfilling departmental work plans and targets
- Plan and oversee the collections management system to ensure accountability of heritage assets
- Develop and implement sustainable preservation and collections management policies and practices to ensure effective and quality care of heritage assets
- Build and ensure the department’s ability to meet requests for information and artefacts, including exhibition services, online display and general researches
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that documentation processes and output meet the needs of users
- Develop learning guides as well as conduct training and sharing sessions on new policies, procedures, practices and standards implemented
- Keep abreast with the latest developments and issues on collections management and preventive conservation by improving the understanding and knowledge about NHB’s collections through seminars, lectures, workshops and personal reading
