Description:

The Energy Market Authority (EMA) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. EMA regulates the electricity and piped gas industries and district cooling services in designated areas, and is also responsible for ensuring the security, reliability and adequacy of electricity supply. EMA invites applications for the above position.
You will be leading a team that assesses the feasibility of deploying new and emerging energy technologies in Singapore, with the objective of enhancing our
understanding of possible options.
In fulfilling your responsibilities, you will need to work with consultants, academia, government agencies and technology vendors. You will also be required to communicate EMA’s position and plans on energy technologies clearly to stakeholders.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS.

  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders within the energy sector, such as industry, international organisations, academia and consultants to perform environmental, safety, security, financing, legal, regulatory and policy analyses for various energy technologies. Your work will also require close coordination with a range of local and foreign government agencies to identify policy implications and make policy recommendations.
  • Ensure that EMA’s position on various energy technologies are communicated clearly and accurately to our stakeholders. This involves the ability to communicate complex technical issues in a manner that is easily understood by the general public.
  • Candidates with a degree in Engineering and /or Engineering-Science may apply.
  • Applicants should have at least seven years of working and team leadership experience. Relevant working experience in the power sector would be an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, coordination and communication (written and verbal) skills are critical for this position.
  • The candidate must be able to represent EMA in communicating with internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • The candidate must be able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
