The Nursing and Midwifery Leadership team are seeking an experienced leader to join the team in the role of Associate Director of Nursing and Midwifery (ADONM) Comprehensive Care.
The ADONM-Comprehensive Care works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Midwifery at Sunshine Hospital, with responsibilities aligned to the Comprehensive Care Standard. This includes but is not limited to: leading and/or participating in committees aligned to Comprehensive Care, monitoring and reviewing risks and preventative strategies for domains aligned to Comprehensive Care, leading improvement strategies, actively planning and implementing frameworks and governance structures to improve care and quality both patients and staff at Western Health. The ADONM will also be required to take responsibility for site/Divisional professional support in the absence of the Director of Nursing & Midwifery.

Responsibilities:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Nursing or Midwifery leadership role
- A sound understanding of the NSQHS standards, in particular Comprehensive Care
- Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills in a complex health care environment
- An ability to provide expert clinical knowledge and direction to ensure that clinical standards, policies and procedures promote a patient focussed model of care
- Demonstrated an ability to write clear, concise reports and have proficient EMR and Microsoft skills
- An ability to communicate across disciplines through all modes and confident presentation skills
- Experience in leading change, engaging with purpose and empowering others through a proven ability to manage stakeholder engagement
- The ability to meet deadlines and maintain sound and accurate records
The role will work across all campuses of Western health and is a full time, fixed term position until 4th May 2025.
