ASSISTANT DIRECTOR CALL OUT - THE KEY
Reports to: Project Manager, Young People & Partnerships
Salary: £13.05 per hour
Contract: Zero hours, Fixed Term

REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in theatre OR studying theatre, or related subjects

Responsibilities:
This summer marks the 21st birthday of our Production & Learning Centre, TR2. Over the years, this building has seen the evolution of countless sets, productions and personal journeys.
Inspired by the tradition of giving a key to celebrate a 21st birthday, and interwoven with William Shakespeare’s great coming-of-age play The Tempest, The Key is an immersive theatre, music and dance experience featuring a cast of over 100 performers from across the organisation.
Young people aged 8 – 21 will create and perform in our latest production, The Key. We are seTheatre Royal Plymouth are looking for a number of Assistant Directors to support performance & design groups taking part in a large-scale community production.eking dynamic, creative & caring Assistant Directors to support both the Director and the young people participating in this project.
The Assistant Directors will work closely with the Directors leading each group in the creating this new production. Opportunities are available to work within the following areas:
- Acting groups for 811 year olds
- Acting groups for 11 14 year olds
- Acting groups for 15 – 21 year olds
- Acting groups for SEND young people
- Musical Theatre groups for 11 – 18 year olds
- Movement (physical theatre) groups for 11 18 year olds
- Theatrical Design groups for 11 – 18 year olds
