Description:
DESCRIPTION
Are you a thoughtful and innovative editor and storyteller? Would you like to produce compelling and engaging articles and content for a magazine at one of the world’s leading think tanks? Then read on!
Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, is an independent policy institute. Our mission is to help governments and societies build a sustainably secure, prosperous and just world.
The World Today is read by Chatham House members, subscribers and our diverse and global audiences. It plays a crucial role to help accomplish our mission by publishing thought-provoking articles for anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of international affairs.
We are seeking a journalist and editor with expertise in both print and digital content to join our small team as assistant editor! The successful candidate will report to the Editor, bringing creative perspectives to international affairs and foreign policy stories to engage our audience and inform global conversations on issues such as Russia’s war on Ukraine and the Israel-Gaza conflict. You will be as comfortable interviewing senior politicians as you are devising new column ideas, and will relish the different challenges of print and digital publishing. The World Today has paused publication for a refresh – you’ll contribute to this evolution of the title.
If this sounds good so far, we’d love to hear from you.
We are an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and do not discriminate based on protected characteristics. We encourage applications from all backgrounds. If there is anything we can do to improve your experience or support you, please get in touch at HR@Chathamhouse.org
