Join our team as the Assistant Events Operations Manager at The Star Brisbane.
Our breathtaking resort, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will commence a staged opening in 2024, bringing a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre to the river city.
The Assistant Events Operations Manager will assist with managing the Event Operations team in executing the delivery of exceptional events across The Star Brisbane. You will have a key focus on quality and professionalism and instil this within your team. This role sees you involved in a mix of administrative and operational duties, with a heavy focus on all administrative processes associated with the phases of an event operation as they relate to the service delivery team.

Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to the Event Operations Manager in tasks such as recruitment, training, and team management
- Review event orders for operational accuracy and resolve any discrepancies in floor plans, logistics, run sheets, or event delivery
- Assign and delegate events and scheduling responsibilities for all team members based on expected business levels
- Establish daily performance goals for team members and oversee service flow and standards in the event centre
- Maintain a deep understanding of event operations, ensuring team compliance with safety and alcohol service policies
