Description:

Robert Half has a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Assistant Facilities Manager in Goleta, California. The Assistant Facilities Manager and take charge of overseeing site operations, fostering client relationships, and driving financial performance. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, coordinating with internal teams, and leading innovative programs to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Responsibilities:

Manage the site following all agreed policies, procedures, and contract scope.
Assist with vendor management for maintenance of various systems, including janitorial, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, critical systems, and HVAC.
Support site managers in the vendor contract procurement process.
Ensure vendors comply with contract terms and insurance requirements.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and risk management policies in collaboration with area/site managers.
Coordinate with internal teams such as fitness, food services, security, and capital projects.
Support site and area managers in implementing short and long-term client projects.
Engage in various site operations activities, including moves/reconfigurations, events, safety, reception, and mail services.
Develop and manage client relationships to meet or exceed service level expectations.
Adhere to client contract requirements and exceed key performance indicators.
Deliver high-quality service as reflected in client feedback.
Support innovative programs and processes to reduce operating costs and increase productivity.
Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes and prepare monthly spend reports.
Manage vendor purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
Help develop and approve the annual capital plan for each building in close collaboration with the client.
Foster an environment of teamwork, cooperation, performance excellence, and personal success.
Lead, manage, develop, and supervise a professional, friendly, creative, energetic, and detail-oriented team.
Provide excellent onboarding, training, and team-building activities.
Support teamwork, cooperation, performance excellence, and personal success.
Participate in performance management programs and personal development planning for team members.
Align with facilities leadership team and act in a managerial capacity for site-related activities.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities, Property, Business, or related field is desirable.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities management or related field.
Proficient in various information technology tools and platforms.
Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
Previous experience in a supervisory role.
