THE TEAM:

The Bank of America Technology Legal team, which supports the bank’s Global Technology organization, is seeking a talented, versatile and dynamic technology attorney to provide strategic legal advice on a broad range of technologies.
We are looking for an attorney with initiative and drive who can handle a high volume of varied and complex legal work at the intersection of tech and finance to support many of the company’s most innovative and cutting edge initiatives, including new products and services, acquisition of technology services, research and development, and external partnerships and collaborations. The successful candidate will be skilled at transactional, regulatory, and advisory work and have a deep understanding of technology and the regulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Counselling clients concerning legal issues related to the development, adoption, acquisition, and use of technology products and services.
  • Ensuring that all technology transactions and deployments are legally sound and comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Working with Legal, Compliance and business teams to implement regulatory changes and respond to regulatory inquiries.
  • Resolving disputes with technology vendors and suppliers.
  • Updating and training internal clients on relevant legal developments related to technology.
  • Structuring collaborative alliances with academic institutions, governments and industry partners related to technology.
  • Partnering with business, regulatory, and government relations stakeholders to engage and help guide regulatory and industry policy globally related to technology.
  • Providing strategic advice to internal clients that balance business objectives and legal risk.
