Job Description:
The Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Director of Golf, and Head Golf Professional with all activities relating to the management and execution of the properties golf operations, including but not limited to Member tournaments, Resort and outside events, outside service staff, golf shop, practice facilities, instructional program, financial management, human resource management and maintenance of golf equipment. This position is a seasonal position, the course operates April- November 1st. The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, golf player staff & golf retail staff.
  • Provide golf experiences at the level expected within Omni Golf departments.
  • Manages Cart maintenance programs, insures cleanliness and Detail of carts daily.
  • Manage the sales, golf player staff, starts and pace of play when on shop duty
  • Attend & participate in Manager Meetings/Stand Up meetings
  • Completes the schedule and distributes in a timely manner
  • Communicate daily activities of golf operations with the instruction staff, golf course maintenance Staff, Club house F&B and Omni hotel staff when necessary
  • Keeping outside operations clean and neat
  • Focus on details of the Driving Range
  • Complete opening and closing protocols for the golf shop
  • Complete Rental Club inventory
  • Complete Inventory of supplies
  • Develop a comprehensive teaching plan for Members, and Resort guests.
  • Enforce all the facilities rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf carts, payments of lessons, green fees and cart rental fees according to Omni expectations.
  • The AGP will assume the role of MOD in the absence of the Head Pro or Director of Golf.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional or Director of Golf.
