We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Head Sommelier to join our team. As an Assistant Head Sommelier, you will play a crucial role in curating our wine selection, providing expert guidance to guests, and contributing to the overall excellence of our dining experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head Sommelier to curate and manage the wine list, ensuring a diverse and exceptional selection.
  • Assist in training and developing the sommelier team to maintain high service standards.
  • Provide expert recommendations to guests, suggesting wine pairings that enhance their dining experience.
  • Oversee wine inventory, order supplies, and manage storage conditions.
  • Conduct wine tastings and educational sessions for staff and guests.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new releases, and emerging winemakers.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a sommelier in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of wines, regions, and varietals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Certification from a recognized wine education program is advantageous.
