Description:

The hydrotherapy service has a vacancy for an enthusiastic individual who has both admin and patient care experience. The hydrotherapy service provides rehabilitation to outpatients and prides itself in providing excellent patient care.
The role involves booking appointments therefore, experience of online booking appointment systems is essential. The post will include face to face and telephone conversations so effective communication skills are essential. You will be required to assist patients with some aspects of personal care so should have experience of delivering patient care and undertaking manual handling. You will lead on maintaining safety in the pool area by undertaking housekeeping tasks to ensure the environment is safe and meets infection control standards. You will not be expected to go into the pool however, you must be able to swim to help patients in an emergency situation.
Working Pattern
Tuesday 7:30 - 12 (4.5 hours)
Wednesday 10:30 - 5 (6 hours)
Thursday 8:30 - 3 (6 hours)
Friday 7:30 - 3:30 (7.5 hours)
The hydrotherapy support worker role provides support and assistance to the patients using the hydrotherapy service and the physiotherapists working in the area. The role requires excellent communication skills and frequent use of the Oasis appointment booking system to arrange patient appointments using the telephone and also in person. The clinical part of the role is to provide support to patients that require this during their visit to hydrotherapy and also to the physiotherapist working in the pool. they would be required to take part in emergency evacuation procedure from the pool if/when it occurs under the direction of the physiotherapist.
