Description:

Imaginative Beginnings Early Learning Center is to hire a part-time or full-time, Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher.
The Assistant Child Care Teachers are responsible for the development, coordination, planning, administration, supervision, and delivery of all child care curriculums.
Responsibilities and Duties
The duties include but are not limited to helping the Lead Teacher in preparing, assessing, facilitating all aspects of the daily routine and academics for the children we serve.
1. Plan, develop, supervise, and implement program activities
2. Aid in the Creating & developing of lesson plans
3. Carry out lesson plans
4. Develop & distribute parent communications
5. Develop & maintain relationships with parents
6. Make ongoing systematic observations and evaluations of children
7. Execute sound administration & management of the school-age and preschool programs in order to increase program quality & sustainability.
8. Maintain required program records such as attendance, daily schedules, meal plans, lessons plans, and rosters
9. Enhance Early Literacy Program
10. Monitor & maintain the ‘Step Up To Quality’ requirements & ratings
11. Coordinator for field trips and/or special events
Qualifications and Skills
1. At least 18 years of age
2. CPR, FIRST AID, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date
3. Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting.
4. Experience in the planning, organization, and implementation of age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
5. Previous experience working with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
6. Exceptional organizational & computer skills
Physical Demands:
Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of the position and to safely supervise children’s activities. Such activities could include sitting for extended periods of time, standing for extended periods of time, walking, bending, lifting up to 20+#, stretching. Reasonable accommodations may be met.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associates in E.C.E. and two years of classroom experience.
