Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Assistant M&E Manager is responsible for assisting Meetings and Events Manager and Operations Manager in planning setting weddings, meetings and large and small hotel events. Leading the M&E team and looking after operations of events with the suoprt of Operations Manager. The successful candidate should be up to date with the latest wedding trends, must be exceptional teamplayer and have great organisation & guest service skills.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Monitor and oversee the weekly running of the M&E department for the Hotel
  • Monitor present and future trends, practices and systems in the food & beverage industry to ensure that the hotel’s M&E is competitive in the market place
  • With the assistance od M&E Manager/ Operations Manager manage departmental roster
  • Ensure all team members are familiar with safe keeping, cash handling, key handling and credit policy of the Hotel
  • Manage the Set up operations team to ensure highest quality and efficiency levels
  • Ensure rooms are set up in accordance with guest specification and in line with the function sheets
  • Ensure all rooms are inspected before occupation including guest comfort, lighting, set up, equipment, AV and temperature.To manage the smooth running, organisation of set up of all wedding and related business
  • Ensure that all team members are trained to carry out effective, professional service and to deliver a warm welcome
  • Maintain and develop new and existing business opportunities, by having all function rooms set for Wedding showcase
  • Show a strong attention to detail, be driven and have a focused attitude at all times
  • Hold excellent communication skills between Management and employees
  • Have a warm and friendly personality, and smart appearance
  • Adhere and ensure the team delivers high standards at all times
