Job Purpose
Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing and processing financial transactions, supporting and monitoring accounting controls and compliance, and various reporting.

Job Role

  • Prepare and post financial transactions such as accruals, prepayments and ad hoc journals
  • Various reconciliations in line with internal accounting controls
  • Ensuring that financial records are accurate
  • Responsible for supplier set ups
  • Analysis regarding various nominal accounts
  • Internal and external reporting and advising internal stakeholders
  • Other monthly postings as required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • AAT qualified or equivalent and/or part qualified in ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Good Excel skills - VLOOKUP and Pivots are essential
  • Able to manage your time effectively and work well with others in a team
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Being able to work independently and as part of team
  • Good communication and numerical skills, with an attention to detail
  • Experience of reconciling balance sheet accounts and dealing with any adjustments required
