Description:

Mitsui Fudosan is Japan’s largest comprehensive developer, expanding globally in real estate development and operations with local offices in Asian region.
We are currently seeking an expert to manage and execute reporting practices in line with the standards and processes required by Japan HQ, which is listed, for the operation of businesses in the RHQ in Singapore as well as group companies in India, Australia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The role encompasses business operations, finance, accounting, tax, legal, HR, and all other administrative domains. This position will be responsible for conducting comprehensive information analysis from multiple regions with diverse real estate-related legal systems, tax structures, and business practices. He or she will also be accountable for reporting that by complying with the stringent standards of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • By collaborating with various departments within the company, this position is responsible for compiling and analyzing project-specific historical performance targets created. Subsequently, this position will create reports on annual profit plans for submission to the Japan HQ.
  • Consolidate and report on the project companies in 4 SEA countries, to Japan HQ which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. Adhering to the rigorous standards required by a listed company and a tight monthly schedule, this position is required to accurately and reliably compile reports based on Japanese accounting standards. Additionally, collaborate with the relevant departments at Japan HQ, taking a leading role in practical implementation concerning internal controls.
  • Based on a thorough understanding of each real estate development initiatives, this position is responsible to create finance plans for each project and take a hands-on approach to lead practical discussions and negotiations with banks regarding borrowing for the projects.
  • Conduct regular research on the real estate markets and macroeconomic indicators (GDP, CPI, interest rate trends, etc.) in SEA countries, and create relevant materials for reporting as needed.
  • Support monitoring activities to ensure that the Company’s operations adhere to the governance guidelines of the Japan HQ. Provide assistance for external agencies conducting internal audits in accordance with the guidelines.
  • Effectively carry out labor-related tasks (such as salary calculations, housing allowances, etc.) for expatriates assigned to the Company from HQ or other global locations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • More than 3 years of practical experience in formulating and consolidating profit plans for a company or department involved in real estate development.
  • More than 3 years of practical experience in profit analysis and finance related to projects in a company or department engaged in real estate development.
  • More than 3 years of practical experience in a overseas entity or relevant department in HQ of a listed global company (listed on major markets worldwide), specifically in the consolidation of financial and accounting statements (following GAAP or JGAAP) and supporting compliance with internal controls for overseas locations (following SOX or J-SOX).
  • Practical experience in the overseas business-related department or at overseas entity of a global, multinational company, specifically dealing with legal and compliance matters for overseas locations.
  • Practical experience in the overseas business-related department or at overseas entity of a global, multinational company, specifically dealing with expatriate payroll calculations, cross-border income tax issues, supporting salary setting based on local tax laws, market standards, and company policies, and having knowledge of work passes in various countries.
  • Proficiency in business English for smooth and accurate communication with various parties including professional firms.
