As a member of the Canada Shared Services team, the Assistant Manager will report to the Senior Finance Manager and will be responsible for leading the newly established shared service team, supporting the continuous digitization and automation of accounts receivable and accounts payable process, while ensuring efficiency, compliance with standard operating procedures, and strong team performance.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Oversee and manage the newly created Centralized Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables functions for accuracy and timeliness, which include invoicing, vendor/customer relationship and cross-team collaboration.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and enforce consistent application of A/R and A/P processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with the standard operating procedures.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team, optimizing their performance and supporting professional growth.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, ensuring cohesive teamwork and effective internal communication.
  • Provide essential data, reports, and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Reconciliation of customer / vendor and Company’s record.
  • Oversee month-end AR/AP related closing activities and reporting.
  • Support the Company’s direction of continuous digitalization and automation of shared services.
  • Improvement projects as required.

Our requirements :

Qualifications, Education And / or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
  • 5-8 years’ experience in AR, AP, including management/supervisory roles, previous experience with leading a shared service team is preferred

Technical & Skill Requirements:

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, experience with Epicor-CMS system is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Detailed – oriented individual that understands importance of accuracy and completeness.
  • Passionate about learning the business and the industry and delivering high quality and accurate results.
