Assistant Manager, Broadcasting (Technical)

We are looking for a passionate and professional Assistant Technical Manager to join our Broadcasting team.
Based in Singapore and reporting to the Senior Manager, the incumbent will handle all technical and engineering equipment and requirements to support broadcast operations.
However, we also recognize that each individual has a unique blend of skills. Whether your strength is broadcasting operations or broadcasting engineering, we want to talk to you.

• You will handle all technical and engineering equipment and requirements to support broadcast operations to bring in live overseas horse racing events from countries that are offered by SPPL to customers.
• You will oversee engineering technical tasks to ensure smooth running of daily engineering operations, and the training and development of the engineers on technical matters, including handling and operating all broadcast equipment.
• You will establish an SOP for Site Survey and prepare Production and Technical Integration Layout Plan, and to review and make relevant updates on a yearly basis for process improvement.
• You will implement design and make permanent layout for racks along with serial numbers and standard placing of panels.
• You will oversee the process of racks, kit standardization and system testing designs.
• You will establish processes for equipment testing and preparation, and review and make relevant updates on a yearly basis for process improvement.
• You will ensure a process is in place for communication/escalation of technical problems on all projects.
• You will manage the project template to cover the tasks needed for each project and ensure completion of project on time, able to direct, instruct and manage technical officers and possible system integrators on projects.
• You will conduct research on technical development standards for present and new technologies and provide technical support during daily operations where required.
• You will ensure the presence of technical support for all broadcast equipment for pre/post production works in the daily broadcast operations and broadcast duties.
• You will support the process of sourcing, executing and managing contractual agreements to deliver appropriate content.
• You will track the section’s contract management process closely to ensure full continuity of content availability and supply to customers and other stakeholders with zero/minimal lapses.
• You will need keen understanding and be updated with trends and technology in live-streaming broadcasting for sports/horseracing and lottery around the world so as to identify and evaluate new or evolving yet appropriate broadcasting strategies for SPPL product offerings.
• You will need to maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors to enhance contract deliveries are on track and manage service performance with the aim for zero/minimal disruptions or iron out service lapses within reasonable limits.
• You will participate in the planning, review and formulation of Company/Division/Department’s strategies and policies and support the preparation and tracking of department’s annual budget, and to ensure the section operates within approved budget parameters.
• You will work closely with Product Division, Customer and Channels teams to understand, develop and execute joint projects/plans to ensure content optimization and delivery so as to achieve strategic KPIs.
• You will drive individual performance, productivity and growth, appraise job results, coach and identify development needs and facilitate learning needs.
