ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• At least 5 years of relevant financial experience or similar dynamic operating environment
• Understand the impact of the accounting processes and practices and any changes in accounting standards
• Good knowledge of Management Accounting techniques in relation to Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet
• A detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/BPC or SAP equivalent
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills to support key stakeholders.
• Able to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions.
• Meticulous, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Degree educated or with professional accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively manage the delivery of Group Management and Statutory Reporting information in line with the agreed service level agreements of our customers. Group Management information will include financial information and scenarios required for budget and actuals. This will include co-ordination of assumption and other data inputs, running the forecasting process activities, preparation and generation of financial information and quality review prior to releasing to the customer for approval. The objective of this role is to enable the BAT Korea business unit to meet their business objectives by providing quality financial reporting information and analysis support

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Ensure month end close activities, statutory and management financial reporting (actuals) are performed on time
• Performs monthly analytical reviews and prepares meaningful commentaries to explain results
• Support end market finance and liaise with tax agents on monthly tax reporting activities (e.g. Sales tax / VAT and withholding tax)
• Investigating and responding to ad-hoc queries/reporting relating to financial performance and analysis requests
• Coordinate the delivery of annual external statutory audit exercise
• Coordinate and ensure alignment and delivery of control navigator and internal controls related exercises
• Advises in initiatives to standardize and improve processes, offering suggestions to the relevant leadership team to improve process compliance
