    Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years supervisory or management experience required with a proven ability to effectively interact with senior leadership, peers and employees
  • Ability to manage changing and challenging situations, and work with sensitive, confidential information
  • High computer literacy, with experience in Microsoft Suite, and troubleshooting required
  • Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions, and effectively introduce new processes and standard operating procedures
  • Occasional physically demanding duties in residence and outdoors - encompassing standing, walking, bending & lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Working knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and Residential Tenancy Act an asset
  • Knowledge of property management systems, such as Rent Manager, accounting & procurement systems, payroll systems, inventory systems an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent, thoughtful, and emotionally intelligent service to our staff and residents
  • Lead, develop, manage, and inspire a team of 10-12 Colleague Services Agents. Ensuring team members are trained and have completed their Job Task Checklists
  • Navigate and assist residents with resident to resident relation issues, acting with empathy, privacy, and professionalism.
  • Work with the maintenance team to manage and maintain the property assets
  • Assist with the employee arrival experience, ensuring each new resident is provided with adequate, clean and well maintained housing
  • Communicate, administer, and enforce policies and procedures outlined in the Colleague Housing Handbook & lease agreements with all residents
  • Facilitate daily housing operations including: assigning daily duties, managing the housing inbox, liaising with employees and residents, daily briefing, and inspecting work completed by employees
  • Liaise with Human Resources, Security, and Executive members, to maintain communication of resident relations, and to ensure support and assistance is acquired
  • Assist with departmental administration; lease agreements, rent payments, employee and resident documentation, health & safety programs, uniform programs, payroll, resident waitlist and unit assignment, and mail processing
  • Work with the leadership team to achieve the annual departmental goals, assisting with the creation and implementation of action plans to address and improve results from the Employee Engagement Survey, and Colleague Services
  • Participate and support long term strategic planning for employee housing
  • Ordering supplied and maintaining inventories, while adhering to annual Colleague Services budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
  • Coordinate and oversee all recycling collection, sorting, removal, supplies and upkeep of recycling rooms and bays
  • Liaise with the Grounds Department for vehicle maintenance and inspections
  • Conduct audits of Housing records and Rent Manager
  • Promote safe working practices and proper use of PPE
  • Learn and effectively oversee all other areas of department in the absence of co-leaders and managers
  • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned
