SALARY: £42,120 - £46,800

HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in one of our Risk Hubs.
We’re on an exciting journey and there couldn’t be a better time to join us! We’re completely revamping our approach to Conduct and Compliance Risk management – making sure we as an organisation, and our colleagues, are doing the right thing - and empowering our colleagues to take end-to-end accountability for the risks that they face.

Start your risk career with purpose. Join our journey, and help us make a difference to more than 26 million customers!
About this opportunity:
We’re looking for ambitious and motivated talent to join our team as Risk Specialists; a role that offers a fantastic springboard into a career in Risk within Financial Services. You’ll support the team in developing a Conduct & Compliance centre of excellence, assisting robust risk management, and providing insightful analysis of the risk and control environment.
We have several specialisms you could be working in, from Financial Conduct Authority Sourcebooks like the Mortgage Conduct of Business Sourcebook (MCOB) or the Consumer Credit Sourcebook (CONC), to Regulatory Compliance Policy or Financial Promotions.
You’ll be learning how we analyse and assess risk and familiarising yourself with the frameworks that ensure we meet our regulatory requirements. Not only that, but we’ll also support you with a Professional Qualification to grow your skills.

The work you could be doing:

  • Working to provide risk support and help deliver against aligned customer, business and strategic outcomes.
  • Producing data to monitor risk policies and appetite and sharing your findings with senior stakeholders, influencing senior decision making.
  • Investigating questions related to Conduct & Compliance Risk to guide risk and control owners.
  • Assessing compliance to relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and/or established controls.
  • Assisting in the management of actions on Conduct & Compliance Risk incidents and breaches following Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
  • Implementing improvements to the control environment with guidance from senior stakeholders.

What you’ll need:

  • Natural curiosity and an insatiable desire to learn and take ownership for developing your skills and capabilities.
  • Organisation, planning and co-ordination skills to manage your workload and deliver team objectives.
  • Keen problem-solving skills and a good ability to absorb different sources of information, so you can make relevant conclusions and recommendations to the business.
  • Relationship building and collaboration skills to work with others and meet shared objectives.
  • Awareness of regulatory topics of significance would be helpful, such as (but not limited to) Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI, Ring Fencing requirements, Conflicts of Interest, Market Abuse, Payments and Consumer Duty.
  • Experience in supporting the delivery of a risk oversight plan would also be helpful.

About working for us:
Our focus is to ensure we’re inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and thrive, regardless of background, identity or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.
We’re disability confident. So if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 28 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies

Come and do amazing work, that’s exciting and makes a difference to millions of people. Join our journey.
At Lloyds Banking Group, we’re driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. With us you’ll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you’ll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.
We keep your data safe. So, we’ll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks. We’ll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person.
