Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assist the Dharma Education and Practice Service manager to prepare annual plans and budgets;
  • Assist and provide support for various Buddhist classes and lectures, including enrolment, classroom arrangement, teaching materials, teaching facilities, classroom order, discussion classes, subsequent editing and circulation of video and audio, etc.;
  • Assist, coordinate and follow up on the dissemination of Buddhist culture;
  • Assist editorial support for the editorial department of “Shicheng Chaoyin”, including assisting in drafting, submission and registration of manuscripts, inspection and proofreading of layout and content, publication and distribution, etc., as well as providing secretarial support for the editorial committee;
  • Assist and coordinate in social media management, website construction, scripture circulation, library management and opening, etc.;
  • Assist and provide support for the all puja activities, including the Buddhist recitation hall;
  • Assist in membership development, registration and all other related requirement etc.;
  • Assist senior executive managers with comprehensive reports, work plans, memoranda, regulations, policies and procedures etc;
  • Participate in meetings, responsible for meeting minutes, understand the implementation of various decisions and provide feedback in a timely manner;
  • Responsible for arranging, printing, distributing, filing and keeping various meeting minutes, memorandums and other documents, submitting documents and letters, handling filing, etc;
  • Responsible for daily work arrangements, such as meetings, work appointments, functions, etc;
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or its equivalent in related disciplines with at least 3 years of similar experience
  • Excellent communications skills (both written and oral) in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates)
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Versatile and independent with positive working attitude
  • Well organise and able to work independently on assigned projects and creativity in problem solving
  • Candidates with experience in non-profits charitable organisation will be an added advantage
  • Able to work on weekends, flexible to work occasional public h0lidays and evenings when the need arises
