ABOUT THE ROLE

Our award-winning Food and Beverage team are at the hub of our business, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager in the Jigger Inn Pub overlooking the Old Course. This historic building dates back to the 1850s, when it was the stationmaster’s lodge. Today, The Jigger Inn is home to golfing memorabilia, crackling open-hearth fires, home-cooked food and a superb selection of Scottish beers. The pub’s own Jigger Ale is available only at The Jigger Inn, St Andrews and at The Horse & Plow at Forbes Five Star-awarded The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin, USA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining standards and operating procedures
• Ensuring all service and bar processes are followed, taking every effort to control costs
• Support and coach direct reports effectively, ensuring the highest standard of customer service is provided to all guests
• Resolving any guest complaints satisfactory, ensuring all expectations are met and retaining customer loyalty
• Forecasting for staffing requirements, ensuring staff volumes are adequate
• Maintaining high standards of performance via appraisals and personal development plans, in line with our business values and objectives
• Drive the success of our Food and Beverage Team through identifying continuous improvement areas
