about the role:

Responsible for overseeing the operations of designated services with a focus on profitability, maintaining continuous communication with stakeholders, vendors, and customers .Adaptability to market dynamics is essential to enhance service volumes, scope, efficiencies, and profitability. This position entails travel to visit customers, agents, and terminals. Responsibilities:

  • Hold P&L responsibility and ensure cost efficiency and yield optimization.
  • Optimize ship selection based on intake, bunker consumption, and tonnage for minimized port dues.
  • Control direct and indirect costs comprehensively.
  • Manage terminal contracts and resolve claims in collaboration with the legal team.
  • Develop and execute trade route strategies, including consolidation or expansion efforts.
  • Compile trade statistics and reports for analysis.
  • Manage cargo space and prioritize high NTV returns.
  • Implement rate adjustments such as GRI, RR, and CBR.
  • Coordinate rate quotation and filing with the commercial department.
  • Maintain updated booking forecasts with agents.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships to become the preferred vendor.
  • Engage in business development activities including new service development and securing slot deals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in maritime business or business management.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as necessary for business purposes.
  • Min 5 years of experience in the shipping industry, particularly in trade-related roles.
