Role Summary
You are the custodian of your labels/artists and the primary communicator/advocate both within and outside the company. To build assigned artists to become the preferred choice of consumers through clear, relevant and differentiated marketing plans whilst managing the project within stipulated financial parameters. Motivate and work with all stakeholders to achieve desired results.
Work with the Directors and fellow Marketing team to generate innovative social and digital communications for our artists and their supporters across the Frontline/Catalogue artist roster. Create online & offline communities, engage the target market and respond to changes in the marketplace to best represent artists. As a team member, provide ideas, support and guidance to the team.
For designated labels the assumption of the lead and responsible position in the development and execution of artist/project plans across the key operational areas of marketing, promotions, digital, Repertoire owners, and artist related logistics. Monitor the delivery of all operational activities and ensure they are in accord with the stated plan and objectives within the required timeframes.

About this role

  • Schedule and plan releases for designated labels in conjunction with repertoire source
  • Ensure priority list is up to date with marketing plans that is consistent with artist and company strategies.
  • Deliver a marketing plan for priority and development artist designated releases.
  • Ensure the marketing concept relates to and targets artists community and consumer behaviour.
  • Communicate artist/project visions to all key stakeholders in a concise and timely manner.
  • Work with key stakeholders – A&R, Labels, Management, Digital, Promo, New Business, D2C. finance - to achieve marketing and financial objectives.
  • Evaluate all new artists/projects and assess their community fit, marketing, media and sales potential within Singapore.
  • Monitor overseas charts, trends, cycles and incorporate into artist/project strategies in a best practice manner.
  • Manage marketing campaigns and ensure deliverables are met. To co-ordinate meetings / conversations between departments and external (partners & clients) when necessary.
  • Strategic plans and reviews with action plans, resolving problems, implementation of productions, productivity and goal targets to meet campaign & operational/logistics objectives.
  • Understand the behaviour of the market and action plans through the power of data. In-depth knowledge of analytics, reports, social tools. Work with relevant departments to provides information through collection of campaigns, trends and research.
  • Track and adjust budgets for campaigns and department activities with the relevant departments.

Labels/Artist Management

  • Work with and maintain excellent communications with Labels and/or Artist Management.
  • Work with Labels/Artist Management in securing assets required.
  • Work with Labels/Artist Management to set the strategy/vision for the artist/project.
  • Communicate with Labels/Artist Management on artist/project progress, challenges and opportunities.
  • Liaise with Labels/Artist Management regarding marketing investments, pricing, promotion, promotional tours and all aspects of artist/project activity.
  • Nurture and grow artist development in the various facets (including but not limited to Media, recordings, image, social reach, streaming, etc)
  • Key go to person for artist and go between A&R, Marketing, NRI/New Biz and Finance

Media & Creative Agency

  • Work with and maintain excellent communications with any Media Agency (SPH/ Mediacorp/ Mediacom / Havas or as directed)
  • Ensure media agency understand the marketing message and campaign objectives.
  • Ensure the Media teams understand the marketing plans and objectives for all key projects.
