About the role

  • Provide advice and solutions for all contemporary medical workforce issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality and service improvement projects and initiatives for the medical workforce across Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

About you

How we do things is as important as what we do therefore you will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key technical and behavioural capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under Key Accountabilities, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • High level interpersonal, negotiation and consultation skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and maintain effective relationships with senior and multidisciplinary staff.
  • Demonstrated high level written skills with a focus on accuracy, together with a proven ability to prepare and present clear and succinct written reports and correspondences.
  • Demonstrated experience in medical rostering and allocations practices, within a large tertiary centre, including extensive knowledge of the industrial instruments that guide medical rosters and allocations.
  • Demonstrated research, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses and corrective and preventative solutions to key issues affecting contemporary medical workforce issues.
  • Demonstrated experience with proven success in developing, leading, and managing staff in line with quality human and financial resources management practices with particular reference to employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
  • Demonstrated exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet service goals and objectives within agreed time frames.
