The opportunity
The Senior Tax Consultant reports will be primarily responsible for attending to the tax consulting and tax compliance needs of our client base ranging from SME businesses to multinational groups.
In addition to the general tax compliance engagements, you will also assist with transaction support engagements, working on M&A transactions and restructures and all other aspects of tax consulting engagements and stepping up to supervisory role in an engagement and team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Effectively collaborating with clients in meeting their tax compliance and transactional needs.
  • Excellent tax compliance background and is able to review technical work of others.
  • Ability to manage working on tax compliance engagements and transactional tax projects concurrently.
  • Working knowledge of international tax matters.
  • Developing junior staff members within the team.
  • Ability to draft complex letters of advice, reports and other client documents, ability to undertake analysis and support conclusions.
  • Assisting in a range of diverse engagements ranging from compliance for enterprises to assisting with multinational advisory with the expectation to broaden your skill set.

What you need to apply

  • A Business, Commerce or Law Degree or Masters of Tax
  • CA Qualified/ Australian Tax Institute accreditation
  • 5 – 6 years taxation consulting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional work ethic
